... AN INAUGURAL SUCCESS!

As employers look to attract and retain employees, they will want to consider companies who have designed their organizations around retaining their top talent. Thanks to the efforts of the Monterey County Business Council, Monterey County now knows who those companies are.

Six companies were recognized in the first annual Monterey County "Best Places To Work" program. The program recognized the best employers in two categories.

"1 - 75" Employee category:

• Credit Consulting Services
• Whitson Engineers
• Fort Ord Reuse Authority

"Over 75" employee category:

• Pebble Beach Company
• Hyatt Regency Monterey
• CSU, Monterey Bay

Participants in the awards luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Monterey were treated to a high-energy presentation by Gerry Hoeffner, President of Personnel Dynamics in Florida and source of the Best Places To Work program.

This 1st annual event was sponsored by the Workforce Investment Board, MY Chevrolet, Chidlaw Marketing, Monterey County Bank, Comcast, KION, and Inner Workings.
